With deep gratitude for her wisdom, love and invaluable legacy, her family and friends share the news that Dr. Elizabeth Frances Rose te Groen died peacefully at the age of 101 on June 2, 2025.

A path-breaking scholar and physician, Dr. Rose received her BsC from Rhodes University in South Africa and her medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand.
In addition to her research and teaching, she also ran a free clinic and directed the Bantu Cancer Research Project for 17 years and founded the Newburg Children's Museum in Newburg, Missouri.
